Transportation has been a major part of the firm's practice since its establishment in 1963. Over the years, a strong and versatile transportation section has been developed with proven experience in this field. The projects undertaken by the firm have varied in magnitude and complexity and have exposed the personnel to diversity and uniqueness with each project. Research and utilization of new design and construction techniques have always formed our approach to better engineering solutions. 

Since it was founded in 1963, Planmac has completed over 400 bridge and culvert rehabilitation, replacement and widening projects, parking facilities, water and sewer replacements, studies, contract administration services, owner engineering assistance as well as numerous road construction and expansion projects to its credit over the last 25 years. The senior staff have also completed well over 1000 bridge, culvert and road projects, most of which involved Class Environmental Assessments, detailed field investigations and condition inspection leading to design, approvals, tendering, and supervision of construction.
